Summary

The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), managed by the Administration for Children and Families (ACF), helps keep families safe and healthy through initiatives that assist families with energy costs. The LIHEAP compiles national- and state-level program data reported by grant recipients and tracks information on the funding, usage, and effectiveness of federal block grants that help low-income households cover home heating and cooling costs. It provides comprehensive statistics on home energy assistance, household demographics, and the performance measures of grant recipients.
