Description

USDA conducts multiple geospatial surveys that contribute to US and global geospatial systems essential to transportation and logistics, defense, water management, forestry, and agriculture, among other sectors. The most significant survey is the National Agriculture Imagery Program (NAIP), which acquires aerial imagery during the agricultural growing seasons in the United States. Branch. This data plays a crucial role in informing policy decisions and guiding the distribution of trillions of dollars in federal funds each year.
